A wonderful range of artworks and sculptures created by 30 members of the Down by the Life Gallery. This show has a wonderful assortment of styles, colour and subject matter.

It’s a community affair down at the Liffey Gallery. Tai Tapu, Broadfield, Springston Evening and Springston Day garden clubs combine to transform the gallery into a room of botanical splendour complimented by floral art works from invited artists.

The many colours and moods of Banks Peninsula provide a rich vein of ideas for Mike’s paintings and Jane’s ceramics in this superb exhibition from these two established local artists.

Ele Stevenson, Debbie Garland, Michael Holland

“A little bit kiwi’ features talented artists Ele Stevenson, Michael Holland and Debbie Garland. Ele incorporates natural materials such as driftwood, glass, stones and encaustic wax to create her sculptures. Michael’s paintings feature landscapes and ocean in stunning colours creating highly detailed paintings. Debbie’s works are bold and delightful with a range of birds and landscapes. Together their works give a sense of the beauty of nature.

Sam is a Mandeville based artist who paints primarily in enamel spray paints using a variety of techniques.

Asako Ridgen, Masako Fisher, Sayoko Pettigrew

Artists Sayoko Pettigrew, Asako Ridgen and Masako Fisher tell the story of two cultures embracing the past and putting down roots, the rising sun meets the land of the long white cloud.

David Dawon Choi

David is an award-winning New Zealand artist who was born deaf and almost totally blind. He started drawing at the age of three in his native Korea to communicate his thoughts and emotion.

This is a group exhibition showcasing printmakers from Te Puna Wai o Waipahu, Hagley College After 3 programme. Our printmakers work collaboratively in the After 3 programme where they support each other’s creativity and wellbeing. This is a selection of prints using a variety of techniques that these printmakers are exploring and developing. These techniques include mono prints, linocuts, woodcuts, drypoint, Tetra Pak and collagraphs. The prints exhibited are the result of collaborative learning in a positive environment.
